Jaigarh Fort, built in 1726 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, is located on the Aravalli hills overlooking Amber Fort in Jaipur.​

It served primarily as a military fortification to protect Amber Fort and the city of Jaipur.​

The fort is known for its massive red sandstone walls that stretch over 3 kilometers in length and 1 kilometer in width.​

Jaigarh Fort houses the world’s largest cannon on wheels, the “Jaivana Cannon,” which was cast in the 18th century but never used in battle.​

The fort contains several palaces and temples, including Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Aram Mandir, and Kal Bhairav temple.​

An underground tunnel connects Jaigarh Fort to the Amber Fort, built for safe movement during attacks.​

Known as the strongest of the three forts in Jaipur, Jaigarh was never conquered in battle.​

Visitors enjoy panoramic views of the Aravalli Range and Maota Lake from the fort's ramparts.
