Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan, spread across the Aravalli Range.​

It covers an area of about 288 sq km, declared a sanctuary in 1960.​

The sanctuary features altitudes ranging from 300m to 1722m at Guru Shikhar, Rajasthan’s highest peak.​

It has a diverse range of flora with about 820 species including orchids, wild roses, bamboo forests, and many medicinal plants.​

Fauna includes Indian leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, chinkara, jungle cats, Indian wolves, striped hyenas, golden jackals, and over 250 bird species including the grey junglefowl.​

The sanctuary offers opportunities for trekking, jeep safaris, camping, and rock climbing.​

Best visited from October to June when the weather is pleasant and wildlife sightings are more frequent.a
