Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan, spread across the Aravalli Range.

It covers an area of about 288 sq km, declared a sanctuary in 1960.

The sanctuary features altitudes ranging from 300m to 1722m at Guru Shikhar, Rajasthan’s highest peak.

It has a diverse range of flora with about 820 species including orchids, wild roses, bamboo forests, and many medicinal plants.

Fauna includes Indian leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, chinkara, jungle cats, Indian wolves, striped hyenas, golden jackals, and over 250 bird species including the grey junglefowl.

The sanctuary offers opportunities for trekking, jeep safaris, camping, and rock climbing.
