Mukundra Hills National Park is spread over 759 sq km in Rajasthan.

It covers four districts: Kota, Bundi, Chittorgarh, and Jhalawar.

The park consists of a core area of 417 sq km and a buffer zone of 343 sq km.

It was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1955 and became a national park in 2004.

Mukundra Hills became Rajasthan’s third tiger reserve in 2013 under the Wildlife Protection Act.

The park is situated between two parallel hills: Mukundra and Gagrola.

Four rivers—Ramzan, Ahu, Kali, and Chambal—mark the park’s boundaries.

It is known for diverse flora like dry deciduous trees and fauna including Bengal tigers, leopards, wolves, sloth bears, chinkara, and many bird species.
